About Me.
Julia holds a PhD in Economics and worked for many years in finance in the UK, the USA and Russia whilst maintaining a passion for fitness, cross country skiing and ballet. After giving birth to her third child, Julia discovered Pilates which led to a career change; first training for a year to formally qualify as a Body Control Pilates teacher and then bringing the joy of Pilates to students through leading regular classes in South West London.
Julia attends courses, classes and workshops to further enhance her knowledge and expertise and develop her professional standards..

Joseph Pilates is the originator of the Pilates method; he was born in Dusseldorf and developed his methods when he emigrated to the USA in 1926.
The Body Control Pilates method is based on three fundamental principles, which are Alignment, Breathing and Centring.
